As the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) approaches its scheduled end date on 9 June 2020, the government has decided to loosen more rules as the country eventually returns to normalcy.
Today, senior minister Daruk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has announced that automated teller machines (ATM) will resume regular operating hours starting tomorrow on 1 June.
“The government decided that the ATM operation hours, which previously operated from 8am till 8pm, can now operate just like before the time the Movement Control Order (MCO) was introduced,” he said during the media briefing held earlier today.
Therefore, also meaning that the public are allowed use the machines around the clock as per usual. However, the defense minister added that social distancing guidelines are still in place and encouraged users to maintain practicing it for their safety.
