Here Is The List of Products That Support iOS 14, iPadOS 14, macOS Big Sur, and watchOS 7

Apple has unloaded plenty of announcements during the WWDC 2020’s keynote earlier today. Aside from confirming that it will drop Intel’s chip in favour of in-house silicon for future Macs, the company has also announced new updates for the main operating systems within its ecosystem including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS.

While we going to discuss many of these new features throughout the day, let’s start with the list of devices that are able to support them. First off is the iOS 14 which still retain its name despite the last-minute rumour that appeared last weekend:

    iPhone 11 / iPhone 11 Pro / iPhone 11 Pro Max

iPhone XS / iPhone XS Max / iPhone XR

    iPhone X / iPhone 8 / iPhone 8 Plus

    iPhone 7 / iPhone 7 Plus

    iPhone 6s / iPhone 6s Plus

iPhone SE 1st and 2nd generation

    iPod touch 7th generation

As for the iPadOS 14, the oldest devices that still able to support the new operating system is the 2014’s iPad Air 2 together with its successor, the 3rd gen iPad Air. Here is the complete list of iPads that accept iPadOS 14:

    iPad Pro 12.9-inch 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st generation

    iPad Pro 11-inch 2nd and 1st generation

    iPad Pro 10.5-inch

    iPad Pro 9.7-inch

    iPad 7th, 6th, and 5th generation

iPad mini 5th generation and mini 4

iPad Air 3rd generation and Air 2.

If you owned a MacBook Air or Mac Pro from 2013 onwards as well as an iMac Pro, then you can obtain the macOS Big Sur for your machine. There are also other models, as listed below:

    MacBook 2015 and later

    MacBook Air 2013 and later

MacBook Pro Late 2013 and later

    Mac mini 2014 and later

    iMac 2014 and later

    iMac Pro 2017 and later

    Mac Pro 2013 and later

Finally, we have the watchOS 7 which can be supported by Apple Watch Series 3, Series 4, and Series 5. Of course, the operating system needs to be paired with an iPhone that can support the equally new iOS 14.

For developers, they are already able to download the first developer beta version of iOS 14, iPadOS 14, macOS Big Sur, and watchOS 7 starting from today. Users that are adventurous enough can look forward to the public beta of all these operating systems next month while the finalized version will be released sometime in the fourth quarter of 2020.
