
KUCHING: Sarawak recorded zero new positive Covid-19 cases for the sixth consecutive day today, with the total number of positive cases in the state remaining unchanged at 571.
In a statement, the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said that there were also no cases of recoveries and discharges.
To-date, 545 or 95.45 per cent of total cases have recovered from the disease and have been discharged.
“There are 12 new persons-under-investigation (PUIs), and three are still waiting for their laboratory results,” it said.
The cumulative total of PUIs is 8,388 to-date.
The statement also revealed that to-date, there are nine patients still undergoing treatment.
Four are bring treated in Sarawak General Hospital, four in Bintulu Hospital and one in Sibu Hospital.
On person-under-surveillance (PUS) cases, there are 87 individuals who have checked into hotels for their compulsory quarantine Saturday. This brings the total number of current PUS to 719 individuals at 13 hotels statewide.
To-date, those who have completed their quarantine period stand at 17,481.
With no deaths reported, death toll remains at 17 or 2.98 per cent of total cases.
Three districts, namely Kuching, Sibu and Bintulu, remain classified as yellow zones while 37 other districts are green zones.
