COVID-19 pandemic has generally increased the awareness towards personal hygiene and subsequently, the demand for personal device sanitizer. Even Samsung has joined the fray as well, by introducing the ITFIT UV Sterilizer in several markets including Singapore and Thailand.
Powered through its USB Type-C port, the sterilizer able to kills up to 99% of bacteria on your device within 10 minutes. Equipped with a pair of UV lamps, Samsung stated that the sterilizer able to cover the top and bottom part of the device that you put into it.
At the same time, the company also pointed out that its new sterilizer is big enough to cover large smartphones such as the Galaxy S20 Ultra. It is also equipped with wireless charging capability which made it a rather nifty dual-role accessory.
In Thailand, the ITFIT UV Sterilizer is priced at THB 1590 which is equivalent to around RM 219. Given our proximity to Singapore and Thailand, we have reached out to Samsung Malaysia to learn about its availability for our market but the company has nothing to announce about the sterilizer at the moment.
