Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra And Tab S7 Also Suffering From Green Tint Issues

Earlier in the year, we saw reports of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and S20 Ultra suffering from discoloured displays. Now, it looks like the same issue is plaguing newer models as well. Specifically, the issue has now cropped up on the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus.

Triggering the issue this time around seems to be uniform. On all three models, the display turns an unsightly green when brightness has been turned down below a certain value. It’s especially interesting this time around as it is also affecting tablets. As for the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra, the issue is affecting Snapdragon models this time around.

Of course, this isn’t an issue that’s exclusive to Samsung devices. Even the OnePlus 8 Pro and iPhone X and all variants of the iPhone 11 have had the same problem before. But if the episode with the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra was any indication, this should be solved with a software update.

With this new slew of reports, it seems that even tablets are not immune to this issue of discoloured displays. And the issue doesn’t discriminate by chipset either. But it’s still a mystery as to what exactly is the cause of this issue that seems so common this year.
