Alleged NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Mobile Series Details Leak; Could Be Paired With Intel 10th Gen CPUs

It’s was only a matter of time before elements and rumours of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 30 Mobile series would make its way online. True to form, that information has finally made its way online, but more importantly, NVIDIA’s next-generation mobile GPUs could be paired with Intel’s mobile series Core processors.

The leaks comes via a snippet of a chart, shared by the South Korea-based tech site, Gigglehd. The information from the chart is bountiful and while it stands unconfirmed, it shows us the pairing of each RTX 30 series mobile GPU with Intel’s 10th generation Comet Lake mobile CPUs. It’s surprising, to say the least, considering that the CPU maker’s 11th generation Tiger Lake mobile series CPUs launched just last month.

Getting back on point, the list shows a wide variety of GPUs, ranging from the GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q GPUs, all the way down to an RTX 3060P, which presumably stands for RTX 3060 Max-P. Which is really just a regular RTX 3060. What is interesting to take note of here is that there are no Max-P variants of the RTX 3070 or RTX 3080 being listed, while the RTX 3060 itself doesn’t have a Max-Q variant.

Unsurprisingly, the RTX 3080 Max-Q is shown being paired with the top-tier Core i9 Intel 10th generation mobile CPU, while the RTX 3070 Max-Q and RTX 3060 are paired with the same Core i7 mobile CPU. There aren’t any details about this RTX 3060, but if online rumours about its desktop cousin are to be believed, it’s likely that the laptop variant will be based on a watered-down version of the GA104. That’s being used in the RTX 3070.

Sadly, Gigglehd’s leak doesn’t include a specific launch date for the laptops, and NVIDIA is clearly not saying anything on the matter. However, if we were to follow the GPU brand’s habit, we could see such machines appear during next year’s CES 2021.

That said, take this news with a large grain of salt until such a time.
