Just barely a month after its last major outage, Celcom’s network is facing yet another disruption once again. We not able to determine the scope of the outage at the moment but judging from the sudden rise of tweets regarding Celcom on Twitter, this seems like another major incident.
At around 10:15 AM today, Celcom’s name has risen into the third spot within Twitter’s trending topic list for Malaysian Twitter users:
Once you search for the telco’s name within the platform, there is indeed a long list of angry tweets from Celcom customers. Plenty of complaints have also been unleashed on its Facebook page:
At the time this article is published, Celcom has yet to make any announcement regarding the network disruption. However, there are indeed service disruption notice on its website:
The notice above mirrors the replies that Celcom’s customer service agents have provided to customers that posted their complaints on Twitter. Meanwhile, we are keeping a close look at the situation as it happens, so stay tuned for further updates.
