SIBU (Feb 27): Some 200 frontliners have been successfully vaccinated at Lanang Health Clinic today in the fight against Covid-19.
Sibu Division Family Health Officer Dr Debbura Peak Ngaban, who is tasked to coordinate the vaccination, said in the morning some 80 Ministry of Health (KKM) frontliners received their vaccination, while 162 from other government agencies were vaccinated in the afternoon.
“We have successfully vaccinated 36 people within one hour, and tomorrow we plan to increase (that number) to 48 (people within an hour),” she told reporters at Lanang Health Clinic here today.
Dr Debbura recalled yesterday 102 people were successfully vaccinated at Lanang Health Clinic.
She revealed that 1,074 doses were received by Lanang Health Clinic yesterday.
She added that the first shipment of the vaccine needs to be completed by next Friday, adding the next shipment is expected on April 2.
On those to be vaccinated, she said it will be a mixture of KKM and non-KKM frontliners.
Meanwhile, Institute of Rejang Journalists (IRJ) president Monica Chua, Sibu Journalists Association chairman Hii Hong Wee and secretary Jane Moh were among the frontliners receiving the vaccination at the clinic.
