MIRI (July 8): Terabai Menua Association (TM) recently worked with the Tatau Foochow Association to repair and beautify the latter’s monument as well as a white rabbit landmark in Tatau.
Terabai Menua president Wilfred Nissem said around 10 members gathered on Monday and Tuesday (July 5-6) to carry out the community service with the Tatau Foochow Association.
“We are happy to be able to help in ways we can and I would like to express my gratitude to all TM members and others who contributed their effort to ensure that the charitable activity was completed smoothly,” he told The Borneo Post.
“TM is always ready to help in ways it can. We hope to participate in more similar activities in the future and render our help whenever or however we can,” he said.
Wilfred said such collaborations are also a good way to foster closer ties as well as promote unity among different races.
He added members of the two associations also learnt much from each other during the gotong-royong.
