KUCHING (Nov 30): The autistic boy from Kampung Rantau Panjang, Batu Kawa, who was reported missing on Sunday, was found dead this morning.
Muhd Ramadhan Muhd Ridhwan, 8, was found in the Sarawak River around 7.20am by fishermen.
It is understood that his body was found entangled in a fishing net around 5km from the search control post (PKB) in Kampung Rantau Panjang.
In a statement, the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre said search and rescue (SAR) team members were deployed to recover Muhd Ramadhan’s body.
“The victim’s body was brought to PKB and confirmed by the victim’s parents,” said the statement.
The body was later handed over to the police for transportation to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) Forensics Medical Department for a post-mortem.
Muhd Ramadhan was last seen at the family home around 3pm on Sunday.
