MIRI (Dec 1): Miri Badminton Association (MBA) is inviting entries for the Miri Open tournament from Dec 10 to 12 at Tung Sports Badminton Hall.
They will compete in five categories: Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles and Men’s Doubles (40 years and above).
Entry fee is RM20 for singles and RM40 for doubles.
The tournament is open to those aged 18 and above and only those who have completed two doses of Covid-19 vaccination.
Organisers will cancel any category which attracts less than eight entries and entry fees will be refunded.
Registration must include payment, photocopy of identity card and the electronic Covid-19 vaccination certificate from MySejahtera.
Spectators will not be allowed for the tournament in compliance with Covid-19 SOPs.
Cash prizes await each singles winner (RM300), runner-up (RM200) and losing semi-finalists (RM100 each). Corresponding prizes in the doubles are RM400, RM300 and RM200.
