BINTANGOR (Dec 2): An engineer was found dead in the toilet of a house in Bukit Belok housing estate, along Jalan Muhibah here on Monday.
Meradong police chief DSP Sekam Anoi in a press statement yesterday said initial investigation found no sign of foul play at the scene.
“We received information from a local man at 4.25pm on Monday,
claiming to have seen a body in the toilet of the house.
“A team was dispatched to the scene to investigate, and the body was later sent to Sarikei Hospital for Covid-19 swab test and post-mortem,” he said.
He added the deceased, who hails from Sarikei, worked for a company based in Kuching.
“The case has been classified as sudden death pending the outcome of the post-mortem,” said Sekam.
