SIBU (Dec 18): Datin Sri Pauline Leong, the wife of Parti Sarawak Bersatu president Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh, is confident that the heavy downpour here will not dampen the people’s spirit to vote.

She said this as she arrived at SJKC Chung Hua polling centre at 8.43am today with Wong, who is the candidate for Bawang Assan, to cast their votes.

Wong hoped that the weather will be better soon.

“Looks like it is going to rain for some time, but I hope the weather will clear out soon,” he said.

It has been raining heavily here since 8am.

Wong is hoping to represent Bawang Assan for a seventh term. He is embroiled in a six-cornered fight for the seat.
